On June 14, 2014, UniAction was officially inaugurated in Montreal, marking the launch of a dynamic new force in cultural diplomacy and social impact. The ceremony brought together community leaders, artists, philanthropists, and newcomers to celebrate the organization’s vision of fostering inclusion, solidarity, and intercultural understanding through storytelling and artistic exchange. The founder, Thi Be Nguyen—herself a former refugee who arrived in Canada at a young age—gave an emotional keynote address, sharing how her personal journey inspired the organization’s mission to support immigrants, promote diversity, and address social issues such as poverty, education, health, and environmental sustainability.

UniAction’s founding was rooted in core values like respect, inclusion, mutual assistance, and social impact—values Thi Be Nguyen articulated during the inauguration, stating that "together, we can create real change". The gathering also highlighted early initiatives: UniAction announced plans to raise funds to help family in need and supporting girls' education such as the fundraising banquet on September 14, 2014 at the Holiday Inn in Chinatown.
